Specific aims of this study are
1) To determine the cross-sectional association between diet quality and methylation at 5'?C?phosphate?G?3' (CpGs) in or near a priori selected inflammation/ oxidative stress genes which are also known to be related to breast cancer.
2) To assess whether interactions between diet quality and methylation of a priori selected genes used in Aim 1 are associated with breast cancer incidence.
